CityDance is a nonprofit arts organization based in Washington, DC that has provided dance training and arts education for nearly three decades. CityDance Studios offers open-enrollment classes from toddlers to adults across more than 20 styles, including ballet, hip hop, jazz, tap and contemporary, and the organization provides more than $250,000 in financial aid and scholarships each year.
About
A continuation of Ballet 1 for dancers who have completed that level. Students build on foundational classical ballet technique, developing more advanced terminology, barre work, and center combinations, with class culminating in an optional spring recital. Completion of Ballet 1 (or equivalent) is required.
Required equipment
For girls: Any color and style leotard; Ballet pink or skin tone ballet tights; Ballet pink or skin tone ballet shoes. For boys: Solid color t-shirt; Male black tights or shorts; White, black or skin tone ballet shoes with elastic straps
Prerequisites
Completion of Ballet 1 or equivalent.
