Salsa With Silvia 4 Kids is a family-owned dance studio founded by Silvia Alexiev, whose kids program launched in 2016. From studios in Washington, DC and downtown Bethesda, it teaches children ballet, hip hop, jazz, tap, modern, Latin dance and Mommy and Me classes, plus bilingual dance-focused summer camps, with an emphasis on fun, discipline and confidence.

This fun and engaging Ballet & Jazz Foundations class for ages 5–7 gives young dancers the opportunity to explore two exciting dance styles in one class. Students will learn basic ballet positions, posture, balance, and graceful movement, along with energetic jazz steps, musicality, coordination, and creative expression. Through age-appropriate exercises, movement games, and choreography, dancers will build confidence, flexibility, rhythm, and a strong foundation while having fun in a positive and supportive environment.

Required equipment

Girls - ballet slippers, leotard, tights. Boys - ballet slippers, tighter fit clothes (sweat pants, leggings, t-shirt).
