The City of Rockville Recreation and Parks Department maintains dozens of parks, community and recreation centers, and facilities including Glenview Mansion, the F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre, Croydon Creek Nature Center and the Rockville Swim and Fitness Center, and offers hundreds of programs each year. Programs include summer and school-break camps, sports leagues and instruction, arts, dance and enrichment classes, tots, preschool and teen programs, swim lessons, fitness, martial arts and special events, along with adult and 60+ programs and park pavilion and facility rentals.
About
Children who already know how to do a front float with a kick should sign up for this class. They will work on back floats, combining parts of the crawl stroke and endurance. Work in the deep end is done as well. This is an adult/child class.
Required equipment
Non-toilet-trained children must wear a swim diaper under tight-fitting vinyl pants.
