Established in 1979, Bethesda Soccer Club (BSC) is a Montgomery County, Maryland travel and development club whose stated purpose is "Developing Professional and Collegiate Soccer Players." BSC runs a full competitive pathway for boys and girls -- from Tots and Juniors recreational programs through Youth Development Program (YDP) teams up to elite travel levels (MLS Next and NAL for boys, ECNL and ECNL Regional League for girls, plus EDP for both) -- alongside camps, specialized skills clinics, and an indoor Performance Center used for training, leagues, and rentals. BSC is known for its alumni who have gone on to professional and NCAA Division I soccer, its dedicated college-recruiting support, and for offering need-based scholarships -- one of the few travel clubs nationwide to do so.

About
This specialized 5-week clinic targets the forgotten art of elite defending to build the high-IQ players who actually win championships. Youth players, boys and girls of all ages, will transform from purely physical players into master tacticians who dominate through superior technique and decision-making. The comprehensive curriculum goes beyond simple tackling to master the exact mechanics of 1v1 body shapes, smart interception techniques, and instant defensive reactions after losing possession. By treating defending as a skilled craft rather than a physical chore, players learn how to read the game, delay attackers, and orchestrate the pitch from the back.
