Bethesda Dance Center is a fun, warm, age-appropriate dance environment that values quality training, effort, growth, and respect. Our goal is to provide a dance education that will instill in our dancers a joy of dancing through life--whether on stage or on a dance floor.

About

Elements is a ballet and tap class and the first step of BDC’s Core Program, giving young students the fundamental skills to launch their development as dancers: beginner ballet technique coupled with musicality and rhythm from tap. Dancers begin in ballet and then change shoes for tap, and will perform ONE dance in the Recital. Ballet is an essential component to developing as a dancer: all technical work such as leaps, turns, kicks, extensions, and body control stem from ballet training, as does the understanding of body alignment and isolations. Ballet is a core part of the program so that dancers can quickly pick up the styles of jazz, lyrical, contemporary, and hip hop.
