Established in 1999 by Steve Knapman, a former English professional player, Brit-Am Soccer Academy provides youth soccer classes, clinics, camps, birthday parties, and a competitive All Stars Academy travel program across Montgomery County, Maryland and Washington, D.C. Brit-Am's approach centers on a fun, player-first, age-appropriate curriculum delivered by licensed coaches -- including former professional and collegiate players -- with an emphasis on long-term player development for players from toddlers through high school. Now employing over 40 coaches and named Washington's Best Soccer Sports Program in 2023, Brit-Am is especially known for its All Stars Academy travel teams and its dedicated goalkeeper training program.
About
Our elementary age soccer programs are designed to build on the interest and enthusiasm the children have developed for the game. These programs are great for school friends, neighborhood groups of a similar age and organized teams. The development of teamwork, sportsmanship and competitiveness are some of the fundamentals addressed in these exciting programs. Fun games both with and without the ball emphasize speed and agility while team games allow the players greater exposure to soccer skills including passing, dribbling, shooting and 1v1 situations. Based on the groups' interest, the sessions include scrimmaging.
