Bethesda Dance Center is a fun, warm, age-appropriate dance environment that values quality training, effort, growth, and respect. Our goal is to provide a dance education that will instill in our dancers a joy of dancing through life--whether on stage or on a dance floor.

About

Intermediate Acro works toward mastery of tick tocks, diving forward rolls, forearm stands, Arabian handstands and limbers in both directions, and flying cartwheels. Dancers in this 60-minute class continue strength and flexibility training and deepen their focus on drills and exercises for side aerials and back handsprings, with a strong emphasis on dance technique and aesthetics. This class will perform in the Recital and has an attendance policy: starting in January, dancers may not miss more than 5 classes.

Required equipment

REQUIRED ATTIRE: Regulation leotard in MARINE from the BDC Nimbly Shop (choose from multiple styles/materials available). REQUIRED SHOES: No shoes are required for AcroDance - dancers will dance barefoot. OPTIONAL ATTIRE: Footless or Convertible Tights (skin tone match). Leggings or Dance Shorts (black).

Prerequisites

An AcroDance evaluation is needed to enroll. Dancers are required to be enrolled in at least one other dance class at Bethesda Dance Center.
