About
Level 1: Water Exploration The objective of this level is to get the students through any anxieties that exist and to create a level of comfort in the water. To pass this level, a child must be able to submerge their entire face in the water and exhale their air for 5 seconds as well as lay comfortably on their back in an assisted back float with their ears in the water. - Enter and Exit Independently - Splashing - Walking/Bouncing around perimeter of shallow area - Holding Breath/Blowing Bubbles - Fully Submerge Face- 5 seconds - 5 Bobs - Supported Front Float- 5 seconds (with face in water) - Supported Back Float- 5 seconds - Safety Rules.
Required equipment
Bring a swimsuit, towel, goggles (if preferred), a swim cap for longer hair, and a change of clothes. Some schools may require specific items, like swim diapers for toddlers.
