The City of Rockville Recreation and Parks Department maintains dozens of parks, community and recreation centers, and facilities including Glenview Mansion, the F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre, Croydon Creek Nature Center and the Rockville Swim and Fitness Center, and offers hundreds of programs each year. Programs include summer and school-break camps, sports leagues and instruction, arts, dance and enrichment classes, tots, preschool and teen programs, swim lessons, fitness, martial arts and special events, along with adult and 60+ programs and park pavilion and facility rentals.
About
Children should be able to swim 50 yards of freestyle and backstroke without stopping, as well as breaststroke for 15 yards. A legal competitive butterfly will be taught as well as flip turns, breakouts and the breaststroke pullout. Encouraged prior to registering for swim team.
