The City of Rockville Recreation and Parks Department maintains dozens of parks, community and recreation centers, and facilities including Glenview Mansion, the F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre, Croydon Creek Nature Center and the Rockville Swim and Fitness Center, and offers hundreds of programs each year. Programs include summer and school-break camps, sports leagues and instruction, arts, dance and enrichment classes, tots, preschool and teen programs, swim lessons, fitness, martial arts and special events, along with adult and 60+ programs and park pavilion and facility rentals.
About
Swimmers must be able to swim, without stopping, four lengths (100 yards) of a coordinated freestyle, backstroke and breaststroke and one length (25 yards) of butterfly. Speed and endurance will be emphasized as well as turns and racing starts.
