Established in 1999 by Steve Knapman, a former English professional player, Brit-Am Soccer Academy provides youth soccer classes, clinics, camps, birthday parties, and a competitive All Stars Academy travel program across Montgomery County, Maryland and Washington, D.C. Brit-Am's approach centers on a fun, player-first, age-appropriate curriculum delivered by licensed coaches -- including former professional and collegiate players -- with an emphasis on long-term player development for players from toddlers through high school. Now employing over 40 coaches and named Washington's Best Soccer Sports Program in 2023, Brit-Am is especially known for its All Stars Academy travel teams and its dedicated goalkeeper training program.
About
Brit-Am's Tots class is for soccer players roughly age 3-5.5 in Montgomery County, Maryland and Washington, D.C. Building on Petite Tots, classes layer in more structured skill work (dribbling, passing, kicking, changing direction) and, for some Age 3+ groups, a progression toward real small-sided games. Kids walk away with stronger motor skills, self-confidence, and the basics of the sport. Open to any skill level.
