Bar-T runs traditional and specialty summer day camps in Montgomery and Frederick counties for ages 5-13. Options include Mountainside and Ranch camps with pools, zip lines and adventure courses, themed specialty camps in sports, STEM, arts and role-playing adventure, and Kids Camps hosted at local schools and churches, with bus service and extended care.
Our take
A high-energy camp with tons of variety and flexibility, perfect for getting kids active and outdoors
Parents like that...
- weekly sign-ups and full days make scheduling easy - a mix of activities keeps kids busy, from splash days to crafts - Ranch and Mountainside locations offer a mini outdoor escape close to home
Keep in mind that...
- supervision can be hit or miss, with some uneven counselor engagement - communication isn’t stellar, so updates may be sparse - water play can be underwhelming, and some locations feel a bit worn
