Dawn Crafton Dance Connection has taught dance in Rockville, Maryland since 1954, making it one of the longest-running studios in the DC area. Based at Rockville Town Square, it offers ballet, pointe, tap, jazz/contemporary, hip hop and technique classes, a TuTu Cute preschool program (ages 2-6), a Passport/Mini Passport track for dedicated dancers, teen and adult classes, and a September-to-May season ending in an end-of-year concert.
Our take
A small-but-mighty studio where kids find their rhythm in a no-pressure, confidence-boosting setting.
Parents like that...
- classes feel nurturing and supportive, especially for beginners
- recital performances are fun without being overproduced
- the vibe is welcoming for dancers of all levels
Keep in mind that...
- it’s a smaller program, so offerings may be limited by age or season
- competition-level training is minimal here
