Since 1966, Green Acres Camp has provided a nurturing, safe, and fun place where children, ages 4 - rising Grade 8, can learn and explore a wide array of challenging and innovative activities! We strive to encourage campers to express their individuality, broaden their interests, and enjoy the companionship of friends and staff. Our 15-acres campus in North Bethesda, MD offers beautifully wooded playgrounds, six air-conditioned buildings, an outdoor amphitheater, a large playing field and gymnasium, and an on-site outdoor pool.

Our take

A welcoming, nature-filled camp with strong swimming instruction and a supportive vibe, perfect for young kids to grow confidence

Parents like that...

- daily swim lessons with certified instructors help kids build strong swimming skills - the three-week minimum allows kids to form friendships and settle into a routine - low camper-to-counselor ratios mean individualized attention, ideal for younger or shy kids

Keep in mind that...

- the structured approach may not suit kids who prefer more free-form activities - pick-up can be chaotic, though it tends to improve after the first week
