TIC Summer Camp is an ACA-accredited technology and athletics camp for kids ages 7 to 15 that has operated in the D.C., Maryland and Virginia area since 1983. Its signature 50/50 model splits each day evenly between technology and athletics, with a focus on collaboration, creativity and personal growth. The camp emphasizes an inclusive, encouraging environment.
Our take
A tech-meets-sports camp where kids dive into coding and then switch gears to burn off energy with dynamic sports sessions
Parents like that...
- kids get a balanced mix of hands-on tech projects and fun, non-competitive sports - enthusiastic counselors create a welcoming, well-organized environment - campers choose activities that match their interests
Keep in mind that...
- tech offerings may feel underwhelming for serious enthusiasts, with some parents noting limited resources - the tech/sports split might not be ideal for kids who want an all-day focus on one or the other
