Meadowlark Music offers joy-based music classes for babies and toddlers in the Washington, DC area, built on a research-based curriculum and original Meadowlark CDs and taught by performing musicians. Meadowlark also brings its music to children's birthday parties: a performer comes to you with scarves, a parachute, drums, instruments, puppets, and bubbles and leads a 45-minute party of familiar songs and favorite class activities.
Our take
A lively music class where little ones move, play, and jam to parent-approved tunes.
Parents like that...
- every class feels fresh, with new songs and activities each week
- teachers are talented musicians who actually sound great
- the laid-back vibe makes classes fun for both kids and parents
Keep in mind that...
- some class locations are small or in home-based spaces
- no recitals or performances—just casual, play-based learning
- CDs and music are a hit, but the class itself may not be for everyone
